Getting started
What is Project Watch 3?
A FiveM roleplay server set in Los Angeles. We focus on DOJ roleplay: police, fire, EMS and civilians, all played by real people.
Does it cost anything?
No, playing is free. You only need your own copy of GTA V for PC. FiveM itself is free too.
How do I join?
Install FiveM, join our Discord, get verified, apply for Membership and connect. The How to join page walks you through every step.
Do I need a microphone?
Yes. Roleplay on our server happens by voice, so you need a working mic.
Verify & dashboard
How do I get verified?
Join the Discord and read the rules. A staff member then verifies you with /verify, which gives you the Verified role.
Why is the dashboard blurred?
The dashboard only opens for verified members. Once staff verify you it unlocks by itself within a few seconds. You can also press F5.
Discord asks to "join servers for you". Is that safe?
Yes. It only lets our bot add you to the Project Watch 3 Discord when you log in, so you don't need an invite link. It can't read your messages or join anything else.
What can I do on the dashboard?
- Read news and updates
- Open support tickets, with screenshots or .txt files
- Apply for Membership, LEO, Fire & EMS or Staff
- Create and manage your characters
Characters & Membership
What is Membership?
Membership is what lets you create characters. Apply for it on the dashboard. Once it's accepted you get the Membership role.
How many characters can I have?
Two with Membership. Boost our Discord and you get a third slot for as long as you keep boosting.
What happens to my third character when my boost ends?
The bot sends you a DM. The next time you open the dashboard, you choose which character to delete. If you don't choose within 24 hours, your newest character is deleted.
Where do I pick my job?
Characters only hold personal info: name, date of birth, appearance and backstory. Jobs are handled by the departments themselves.
Departments
Which departments are there?
- LAPD: city patrol, Metro and detectives
- CHP: freeways and highways
- LASD: the county, contract cities and the jail
- LAFD & EMS: fire, rescue and medical
How do I join a department?
Send in a LEO or Fire & EMS application on the dashboard. Once you're accepted you start at the academy, then do field training.
Help
I have a problem. Who do I talk to?
Open a ticket on the dashboard and attach screenshots if you can. Staff reply right there, and you see it as soon as they do.
I was banned. Can I appeal?
Yes. Open a ticket on the Discord, explain what happened and why you should be let back in.
